Our Mission

The Randolph DE&I Coalition (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)

Our mission is to create and sustain a community that embraces diversity, advances equity and assures inclusion through representation and participation in all facets of life for Randolph residents. 

Our vision is one of a community that aligns with values that support social justice, a community where we stand in solidarity with our neighbors regardless of race, religion, cultural backgrounds, gender, sexual orientation or abilities/disabilities.  We affirm our on-going commitment to recognizing the inherent dignity of each and every one of us.

Our Objectives

DIVERSITY

To celebrate the variety of racial and cultural backgrounds represented in the Town and promote intercultural exchange;

EQUITY

To assure that residents with differing levels of need are getting the necessary resources to help them survive and succeed; and    

INCLUSION

To ensure that hires or appointments in all of Randolph’s Departments, Boards and Commissions reflect the diversity of its population as well as to promote broad civic engagement.

What We Do

DIVERSITY

• Host events that foster alliances among residents of diverse cultural backgrounds in order to strengthen a sense of community and to celebrate difference.

• Organize opportunities for multicultural conversations (e.g., Courageous Conversations) to promote intercultural respect and understanding.

• Ensure that printed and electronically published information is available in the Town’s most spoken languages and accessible to those who are or visually or aurally impaired.

EQUITY

•  Evaluate how various forms of racism impact minority residents.

• Assess disparities in access to services and resources; and advocate for necessary changes in funding and resource allocation, policies, and practices.

• Create a comprehensive resource guide for residents.

INCLUSION

• Recommend to Town officials strategies for bringing the demographics of Randolph’s leaders and employees in parity to demographics of its residents.
